Is the museum suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. The tour is designed to be accessible to everyone, whether you're a complete novice or an experienced wine lover.
Can we visit without booking?
Walk-ins are possible depending on availability, but booking is strongly recommended, especially at weekends.
Is there a shop?
Yes, the bookshop / boutique is free to browse without a reservation. It is on the ground floor, but a large step guards the entrance.
Is the museum wheelchair accessible?
The cellars are only accessible via a spiral staircase. The site is not accessible to wheelchair users. We apologise for the inconvenience.
Is the tour available in other languages?
Yes. All interactive terminals are available in 7 languages: French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese and Japanese.
Is the tasting guided or self-paced?
Both. You taste at your own pace, with no one rushing you, and a member of the team is present throughout the tasting. Some of the wines are introduced in more detail by an operator or an experienced member of staff, and the museum decides which ones.
Can I come with children or a pet?
Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult, and grape juice is offered instead of wine. Pets are not allowed in the cellars: only very small dogs carried in the arms may be accepted, at the team's discretion, as the cellars are an enclosed, vaulted and echoing space.
